My name is Margret Haase, I am 27 years old and with the motivation to sharpen my perspective on the subject of agriculture and sustainable living in harmony with nature, I decided to work with the Wiñak Association. Since the end of August, I have been in Ecuador and I am part of the Wiñak family. It is an organization of indigenous Kichwa producers and works in the Napo and Pastaza provinces with a total of 96 communities. With his daily work, Wiñak pursues the goal of improving the living conditions of the producers and their families. We produce plants according to the farm system, we sell regional products with organic certification such as cacao, wayusa and plantain, and we are in close contact with the producers. I see a strong team working hand in hand here. I was very well received here and had the opportunity to support the team in various areas. Above all, I really enjoy working in communities and in nature. Wiñak is synonymous with transparent and sustainable processes to protect nature and promote sustainable employment, especially for women. I look forward to the future and the opportunity to learn a lot.
